Artist KIMBERLY GERRY-TUCKER expresses herself best through artistic pursuits; most often acrylics. Her work has been featured in various venues, including in murals in public spaces. In addition, Kim is a lifelong writer and a published author. Check out her 2012 memoir, “Under The Banana Moon – Living, Loving, Loss and Aspergers/Selective Mutism.”
Kimberly is currently collecting puzzles and sorting pieces according to color, for use in her newest line of art. The artist arranges pieces and glues them onto blank canvases to create “puzzle-piece paintings.”
Kim is often speechless due to challenges of selective mutism, dysthymia, and Asperger’s. However, her voice is present in the various artistic ways that she expresses herself. Kim has been showing work regularly since 2006. Her art has been shown by the Asperger/Autism Network (AANE), the Good Purpose Gallery, Lesley University, and in Rhode Island, New Haven, Boston, and elsewhere.
