MHAF Media Highlights: “Autistic and Aging Out”

November 12, 2013 //  by Shannon Doty

A film by Laura Betesh

Filmmaker, HuffPostLive production assistant, and  Columbia University journalism student, Lauren Betesh, captures the realities faced by two families as they seek answers regarding their autistic teens’ transition into adulthood. “Autistic and Aging Out” shines light on some of the major issues that Madison House works to address and lends further insight into a question that countless parents are asking themselves everyday – “Who will care for my autistic adult child when I am no longer able?” We thank Lauren for allowing us to share this important work and invite you join us in increasing awareness of these issues by sharing this video with friends.
