Valaree Dickerson
Valaree Dickerson has always been a community activist, working tirelessly to improve the lives of those in her community as seen in a recent press release in which she states, “I always refer to Poolesville as “The House That Built Me”…. Everything I do, I do for Poolesville. Out of true love for the greatest little village in America….I learned it all from the largest stewardship on the planet … the Poolesville area residents!” She is the former Vice President of the Board of Commissioners for The Town of Poolesville (elected official – 2011-2020) and is the Co-Founder and past Program Director for the Poolesville Area Senior Center. She has been a stanch supportive of Madison Fields’ mission and programming as long as Madison Fields has been in existence.
Valaree’s interest in caring for those in her community is nothing less than extraordinary as a community volunteer for WUMCO (Western Upper Montgomery County HELP program for needy families) with 28 years of program planning to include the creation and implementation of the Toy Program. She is an active Board Member of Poolesville Helping Hands, a faith-based organization working in conjunction with Rebuilding Together (a National Organization) to improve the structure of a home where the homeowner has limited income and a Member of BCC – Izaak Walton League Grand Marshal 2021.
Valaree has a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Maryland.
